ATPL(A) Flight Planning Exam Information (No Exam Scheduled)
To allow you more time to practice and refine the techniques needed in the AFPA exam, AFT does not have any pre booked exam sessions with ASPEQ for our Flight Planning courses and we encourage you to book and sit the exam when you are fully prepared. AFPA is the last scheduled subject in each of our full time courses giving students extra time for suitable revision to enhance speed and accuracy before sitting the CASA exam. The additional time should ensure all methods and processes are fully understood and careless errors eliminated, with the added benefit of reduced time pressure before attempting the CASA exam.

2026 Discounted Packages
Combination Full-Time Ground School and Distance Learning Course Package – 7 Subject
Discounted Fee: $8825.00 (Saving of $1000.00 compared to enrolling on each subject individually)
Subjects Covered:
Full-Time: Navigation, Aerodynamics & Aircraft Systems, Performance & Loading, Flight Planning.
Distance Learning: Meteorology, Human Factors and Air Law.
Includes AFT Course Material for the above-mentioned subjects, Online Practice CyberExams including Random Question Generators, 6 Weeks of Full-time Course Tuition and Distance Learning Course Support.
Capped Price Option: If you choose to complete your Full-time ATPL subjects individually, your course fees will be capped at the discounted fee of $9025.00 (Saving of $800.00 when purchasing all seven subjects).
Full-Time Ground School – 4 Subjects
Discounted Fee: $8410.00 (Saving of $500.00 compared to enrolling on each subject individually)

Note: Students are required to bring Distance Learning Course notes. If your 12 month amendment service has expired, a reprint fee will apply if new material is required.

A very important feature of our school’s policy is that if, after attending our full time course, you are not totally prepared to sit the CASA Exams, or you are having difficulty with any aspect of the course, you are welcome to return and resit all or any part of the course you have paid for once, with no additional course fee within a two year timeframe, subject to some simple conditions*. * The resit policy applies on the basis that the course fee when you resit the first time, is the same as the course fee you originally paid. Should increased course fees apply at the time of the resit, you will need to pay the difference between the original fee paid and the current fee to resit for that subject. Should you need to resit a subject more than once, you will be required to pay a resit fee of $100 per subject for each additional time you wish to attend the subject. Resit positions are subject to availability and must be taken within 2 years of initial attendance. After the 2 year period expires, normal course fees apply once again.
We guarantee to stick with you until you achieve your goal of an ATPL(A) examination credit.
