The World Aeronautical Chart (WAC) is a type of aeronautical chart used for navigation by pilots of moderate speed aircraft and aircraft at higher altitudes.
WAC’s show topographic information, airports and radio navigational aids. WAC Charts are useful for strategic flight planning, where a view of the entire flight area is required.
These Australian charts are part of the ICAO 1:1,000,000 international series. Designed for pre-flight planning as well as pilotage, these charts are constructed using Lambert’s conformal conic projection and conform to ICAO specifications.
